Syrian court sentences Assad to death for war crimes
On Tuesday, a Syrian court sentenced former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to death in absentia for war crimes and crimes against humanity. His younger brother, Maher al-Assad, was also sentenced to death in absentia.
