CBS examiners warn of AI influence

Several external examiners believe there may be a need to change how Copenhagen Business School (CBS) students take exams. According to reports obtained by Berlingske, examiners point out challenges when artificial intelligence replaces the learning process. In some cases, AI was used to such an extent that students could not account for large parts of their written basis. Consequently, examiners share a general wish for written home assignments to be tested with an oral defense.

Dean of Education Anna Thomasson stated that CBS cannot live with doubts being raised about their graduates’ abilities. Nationally, registered cases of AI cheating across five Danish universities increased from 43 in 2023 to 201 in 2025.
